The Jets look to pick up their first win of the preseason at the MTS Centre tonight, where they take on the Ottawa Senators at 7 pm. You can catch the action on TSN3.
Preseason hockey may not mean much, but this is uh, not exactly a battle of the titans. The Jets look to improve their 0-2-2 record, which is just a hair worse than the Senators' 1-3-1 record so far this preseason.
The records are a bit of a misdirect, though, since those games have been played largely by prospects and NHL hopefuls. Fortunately for those paying to watch this game, the Jets will ice a better squad than they did on Sunday in Minnesota - and the less said about that one, the better.

His celebration after scoring the game winning goal in overtime may have pushed some buttons.
We'll show you what we mean.

There are many advantages of living in a hockey-mad market like Winnipeg. For starters, there are no shortage of people willing to talk about the sport at any time of the year. Discussions and arguments about the status of the Winnipeg Jets aren't uncommon in the middle of summer, let alone in the dead of winter.

Paul Maurice didn't hide his frustration on Sunday night following the Jets' 8-1 pre-season loss to the Minnesota Wild.
Only, for the most part, he wasn't angry with his own players. It was directed toward Wild head coach Mike Yeo, who iced all his veterans — even up by seven goals late in the game — during the lopsided victory.
