News and Analysis: Laine named NHL's First Star of the Week

After recording eight points (five goals and three assists) in four games, the NHL named Patrik Laine the league's first star of the week.

Three of those goals came against the Dallas Stars on February 14th when Laine recorded a hat trick on home ice to help the Jets defeat the Stars 5-2.

Jets face Sens in second straight matinee

The Jets are back in action a mere 24 hours after their 3-1 victory against the Canadians. Winnipeg will face off against an Ottawa Senators team that sits two points out of 1st place in the Atlantic division. Meanwhile, the Jets sit three points behind the Calgary Flames for a wild card spot.

On The Block: Drew Stafford

Drew Stafford is on the trading block and this is a good thing for both parties. 

Stafford has been in and out of the line up due to injuries, inconsistent play and better options for the Jet. He is having a down year production wise, having only 4 goals and 8 assists in 39 games. But, Stafford is still a serviceable player, who can play up and down the lineup. 

So the question is, will the Jets trade Stafford by the trade deadline?
