On Wednesday the Winnipeg Jets made a franchise altering trade, sending Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian to Buffalo for Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford.

One of the players who the Winnipeg Jets received as part of the return in the Evander Kane blockbuster on Wednesday was soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Drew Stafford.

In case you slept in this morning, which I definitely didn't do, the Winnipeg Jets made a big trade today.
No longer Kevin "no NHL player-for-player trades" Cheveldayoff, the Jets General Manager was able to move Evander Kane to the Buffalo Sabres. An interesting side plot though was the additional trade of young, right-handed defensemen Zach Bogosian and Tyler Myers.

The Winnipeg Jets have reportedly completed a trade that will send Evander Kane, Zach Bogosian, and unsigned goaltender Jason Kasdorf to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Brendan Lemieux, Joel Armia and a first round pick.
The deal is reportedly final and the trade call has been made, according to ESPN's Craig Custance. The teams have yet to approve the deal.

Is this Evander Kane's last day as a Winnipeg Jet?
Kane appears to be close to disproving the Westside Story mantra, according to multiple reports. "When you're a Jet, your a Jet all the way" - at least until your teammates throw your clothes into the shower.
TSN's Darren Dreger has characterized trade talks between the Buffalo Sabres and the Jets as heating up. The two sides seem to be working hard to consummate a multi-player swap per Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press. Dreger also suggests that Tyler Myers, Zach Bogosian and Drew Stafford could be involved as part of the deal, along with Kane.
