Dustin Byfuglien always has been an interesting specimen to study. He represents the new push in analytical thinking: how a player can have flaws (perceived or real) and make up for them in other areas, making them the better choice.
The tides are slowly changing. People are starting to notice how much amazing Byfuglien has been at defense. The issue though is there seems to be a disconnect in how Byfuglien plays at forward and how it's not much better than a lot of the Jets current depth options.

The Winnipeg Jets and Kevin Cheveldayoff do not exactly have the league's largest history. When March 2nd rolls around, the current version of the Jets will have passed their fourth trade deadline. In these four years Chevy has not been one to make large moves, with the recent Evander Kane et al. trade being the only NHL-player-for-player trade in his portfolio.
Still, there are somethings to be learned in regards to Kevin Cheveldayoff, the organization, and how they will likely act out this deadline. Let's take a look.

Tension is getting higher and blood pressure for fans is starting to rise. There are some calling for Kevin Cheveldayoff to take step in and make an immediate impact. The Jets have recently seen an uncharacteristic rise in goals against, and with it came a bad losing streak.
