The day has come to an end and every team has taken their last pick for players they want to add into their organization.

The Winnipeg Jets were thought to be possible movers-and-shakers, but instead they just sat to the side quietly, while making really, really smart picks.

Winnipeg Jets finish the draft; Select Matteo Gennaro 203rd overall

The Winnipeg Jets make their final selection with Matteo Gennaro of the Prince Albert Raiders with the 203 overall selection.

The former teammate of Josh Morrissey, Gennaro was ranked at 160 by ISS Hockey scouting, although was in the 200s or not ranked by all other firms.

Winnipeg Jets look to hit value in the late rounds; Draft Sami Niku 198th overall

The Winnipeg Jets have done it again.

With the 198th overall pick of the draft, the Jets have signed another undervalued player who could end up a home run in the late rounds.

The Jets take  Sami Niku in the 7th round, a bit of a faller with some high-end talent.

Winnipeg Jets bid to accumulate all the USHL players; Draft Mason Appleton at 168th overall

The Jets continue two trends with one pick. With their sixth pick at 168, the Jets get their fourth USHL player of the draft, and also continue their recent trend of selecting re-entry prospects who are looking to go to the NCAA.

Mason Appleton joins Andrew Copp, Tucker Poolman, Matt Ustaski, and C.J. Franklin as players passed in their first (and for some, second) draft eligible season and plan to develop in the NCAA.

Kevin Cheveldayof breaks Nation Network, Drafts 25th ranked Michael Spacek at 108th

Getting the Nation Network's seventh ranked Kyle Connor at seventeen was a pretty big deal. Getting the twenty-first ranked Jack Roslovic at twenty-five was pretty great. Then adding our twenty-second ranked player with Jansen Harkins at forty-seven seemed like it would be icing on the cake.

And then Kevin Cheveldayoff broke the Nation Network. At one-hundred-and-eighth overall, the Winnipeg Jets selected Michael Spacek, the Nation Network's 25th ranked prospect.
