Light week for the Jets Nation Air Mail this week which is a tad understandable as Jets fans feel a bit worn down after two brutal uninspired losses and an OT loss where the Jets maybe deserved a little bit better a fate.
As always, if you have a Jets or hockey related question in general burning away in your head, be sure to @ reply our Twitter account with the hashtag #JNAirMail and we'll get to answering it next week

The Winnipeg Jets west coast swing of terror continues tonight in Los Angeles against the Kings.
The Kings have been on a consistent run of "win a game lose a game then win a game" since just before the start of the new year. They have struggled in losses to Vancouver, Detroit, Edmonton San Jose but have played quite well against the likes of Minnesota, St. Louis and San Jose.
They won their last game on Thursday in impressive fashion against the Blues, so perhaps there is a chance for the Jets to catch them on a down swing night? For it to happen, the Jets are going to need their offense to come through against a Kings team that is surprisingly stingy on defense.

The Jets take care of a bit of roster housekeeping as they move Patrik Laine to the IR list retroactive to Janurary 7th and call up defenseman Julian Melchiori from the Manitoba Moose. The recall was likely made as a precaution due to the fact Ben Chiarot missed the Jets practice on Thursday due to illness.
Chiarot will miss tonight's game against the Coyotes as he did not make the trip to Arizona. Look for Mark Stuart to possibly draw into the lineup if not Melchiori.

Us to the Winnipeg Jets: Nothing this season can be as bad as that New Years Eve game against the Islanders where you guys got smoked at home, right? That night you looked like you couldn't compete against the Brandon Wheat Kings let alone an actual NHL club. Nothing gets worse than that night.
Winnipeg Jets to us: Hold my beer..

Patrik Laine is an All-Star baby!
There may have been a handful of question marks that needed to be answered leading up to Tuesday's naming of the four NHL All-Star teams, but there was zero doubt who was going to be called upon to represent the Jets in Los Angeles at the end of January.
What is in doubt however is whether or not Laine will be medically cleared to play in the showcase event as he continues to go through the NHL's concussion protocalls after the hit he took this past weekend in Buffalo. All going well with the series of six tests that he will have to undertake one after another each day for six days in a row, he could be back and playing as early as next week. But he could also be sidelined for much, much longer and you best believe the Jets are not going to rush the young phenom back into any game action.
