It was a night of returns at the MTS Centre. Ondrej Pavelec returned between the pipes for the first time this season. Alexander Burmistrov returned to face his former club. The Arizona Coyotes returned to a city they once called home. Most importantly, the Winnipeg Jets returned to winning ways as they doubled the Desert Dogs 6-3 to snap a four-game losing streak.

So, has anyone heard any news around the Jets camp lately? It's been pretty quiet hasn't it. Not much is happening. Oh wait. There was a small order of business. Nothing major. Ondrej Pavelec was called up from the Manitoba Moose. Remember him? Yeah that didn't generate much talk. Unless you count Twitter nearly exploding.

Hollywood. Where dreams come true. However, some dreams can turn into nightmares. For a brief spell, it looked like the Winnipeg Jets would fashion a script that would finally include a happy ending. But in pure cinematic cruelty, the Jets couldn't get the job done in the end and fell 3-2 in overtime to the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Centre.

If hockey games were only 45 minutes long, the Winnipeg Jets would have walked out of the state of Arizona with a victory tonight. But as we all know, hockey is a 60 minute game. The Jets forgot about 15 minutes of the first period and it cost them as they fell 4-3 to the Arizona Coyotes in Glendale.

Not many will remember the result of this game. For the record the Buffalo Sabres edged the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 as the Jets once again failed to put together a three-game winning streak. This game will be remembered for Jake McCabe's devastating yet clean open ice hit on rookie sensation Patrik Laine in the third period. Neither player returned.
