NN Hockey Pool Update: March 12th Edition

Once again, it’s been a bit since we’ve taken a look at the Nation Network standings. For the vast majority of those 40 days, it’s been my fault for putting it off. Yesterday, it was the fault of the good folks at Oilers Nation for writing so many things.

The original entries and rules are here. Scoring is as laid out in the original post, with one exception: goaltenders grades are adjusted to reflect the length of the season (since unlike skaters, who are graded on cumulative things like goals and points, goalies are judged primarily on their average save percentage).

...holy crap i came back and viewed the EBS video ...that 'hot chick' is such a silly girl ...she woulda had some of Jordan's DNA on her hand and coulda artificially cloned herself another Jordan Eberle and been heralded as the mother of the greatest gapped toothed hockey player ever ...

Wow! I started out the bottom quartile and have made it up to the top 20!! I had written myself off. Must have been all that good advice Jonathan's fantasy guide that finally payed off for Jonathan himself ;)

@Jonathan: Speaking of which, are you going to do another fantasy guide this year? I have a favour to ask: can you include an excel document with your predicted points, etc. per player? This would save me some crucial time--a deciding factor for participating in my fantasy league this year. This year I'm 2nd/11 with only 7 points behind the leader--thanks for the great guide!

The sales numbers on the fantasy guide weren't particularly strong, so I think the approach I may take is one of expansion - still including fantasy predictions, but moving toward more of a general NHL guide.

Actually I thought the sales were pretty good for a first offering.

What Jon means is they weren't good enough to singlehandedly pour 10 million hours into another thing this summer that can only really be sold for about a month or so.
